She Dreams in Flowers is part of a series I created that focuses on the importance of being still and present, listening to our inner voice, and connecting to nature's natural beauty and wonder.
As a creative and introvert, I find the world's pace and focus distracting and hard most days. I spend as much time as I can sitting on my porch listening to the birds and communing with nature, which grounds and inspires me. Nature's wonder is one of my main sources of inspiration and each day I'm in awe of the beauty surrounding me. Spring through fall I spend a lot of time with my flowers giving them care and love in a continuous energy loop. The care and love I give them are a fraction of the love, joy, and grounding they give me each day as I move through the world as a creative.
"She Dreams in Flowers" is painted on a 24" x 36" canvas using acrylic paint and paint pens. My artistic process is created through many layers of acrylic paint. In most of my paintings, I use all of the colors of our chakra system with the intention of healing for myself and you. Through these multiple layers of color, I achieve depth, contrast, texture, and vibrancy of color. With these layers, I process and navigate my world through art. I have included photos of my artistic process.
