Poppies small abstract acrylic painting

A field of poppies is painted on 5" x 7" acrylic canvas paper using acrylic paint. This was a fun painting using playful techniques to explore creativity and abstract painting. I used various sizes of hemp to paint the grass which provided texture and varying sizes of blades of grass. The sweet abstract wildflowers are made with drips of Golden fluorescent orange and pink acrylic paint and yellow acrylic paint. The poppies are painted with red acrylic paint with violet and black center. The sky has swirls of various shades of blue, purple, and white acrylic paint. I have sprayed the painting with a glossy UV acrylic protectant spray.
Poppies symbolize remembrance. I created several of these little paintings in honor of people I am remembering and honoring in this life, as well as those that have left this earthly plane. May it remind you of those that you hold dear to your heart.
