Barn owl recycled bottle cap earrings

Barn owls are so beautiful! Over the years I have adored painting little whimsy owls.
Made from recycled bottle caps, each one is a labor of love. The bottle cap is pounded out, filed down, scraped to ensure all or most of the glue is removed and then I paint designs on them with acrylic paint.
These bottle caps are painted with various shades of blue, real, yellow and magenta acrylic paint. The bottle cap earrings have sterling silver ear wires and dangle about 2 inches. They come with earring backs for the ear wires although not pictured here. They are very light weight and are great to "mix and match".
